What we do.
Fractional CTO and Chief Architect
Typically from two days per month. Longer-term retainers available. No rigid packages; we scope each engagement properly.
Find out more →Technology Advisory and Architecture Review
An independent assessment of where your technology estate actually is, where it needs to go, and the realistic path between the two. Useful as a standalone piece of work or as the foundation for an ongoing engagement.
Particularly effective before major investment decisions (particularly any major AI investment), platform changes, or when an existing plan needs stress-testing by someone with independence from the current or proposed answer.
Sustainable Technology & Responsible AI
Our approach draws on the open-source Tech Carbon Standard, co-developed by Oliver at a previous company.
Find out more →The bigger, interconnected picture.
Most technology advisors help you tactically with single point issues. We also look at the bigger interconnected picture and often ask the difficult yet constructive questions — like whether something is really the right thing to do, what the risks and opportunities are, and what it costs beyond the immediate budget.
That is not idealism. It is holistic architecture. Systems that ignore their wider context do not serve their organisations long term, and build up architectural, environmental and technical debt that can bite if not effectively navigated.
Much of this thinking is formalised in our Pragmatic Ecosystems methodology: a structured way of approaching technology and business architecture as interconnected systems — human, organisational, and natural — and finding changes that are both pragmatic and win, win, win across people, planet and profitability.
Technology decisions never exist in isolation. We surface the material issues of the wider system before recommending changes within it.
A structured methodology drawing on systems thinking, complexity science, and sustainability frameworks.
No product to sell, no preferred vendor. Our only interest is the right outcome for your organisation.

No obligation. No hard sell.
If you are figuring out whether fractional CTO support, an architecture review, or a sustainability assessment makes sense for your organisation — the most useful first step is usually a conversation.
Just a helpful discussion about where you are and what might help.
